My 4-H Experience

My experience in 4-H has allowed me to grow and be a well-rounded individual. . I have been in 4-H for 12 years and every year has been a blessing. I remember the day I told my mom that I wanted to be in 4-H, I was six years old and we were picking my aunt up from a meeting. My entire family has been in 4-H, starting with my grandparents, who still help out during the year, especially during the fair. Over the years, I have learned responsibility, time and money management, and how to care for my livestock. 4-H has given me self- confidence to teach younger members in my club. I am confident that I can complete my projects and other aspects of my life 100 percent and be proud of my work. 4-H has brought me lifelong friends and extended family that I am thankful for every day. 4-H has impacted how I see myself, and as well as how others see me. I see myself as leader, who has the ability to influence my future and the ones around me. I believe that 4-H can transform the world for the better for future generations to come. I hope that others can experience the goodness that 4-H has brought me. 4-H has taught me skills that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I am thankful for all of the great times and lessons learned in this amazing organization. I am a better leader teacher and most importantly a better person because of my 4-H experience. 4-H has taught me to be a confident young woman who never stops until the best is better.
